Jane Askey studied Printed Textiles at Manchester Polytechnic. Since graduating in 1987 she has worked full-time at HE and FE level as a design lecturer and operated as a freelance textile / giftware designer. Leaving a full-time job has allowed her to focus on painting and exhibiting. Over the last two years she has exhibited within private galleries across Yorkshire, the Midlands and the South West of England.
